On July 22, 2021, the DeKalb County Juvenile Court hosted a Back-to-School Drive Community Service event.
The event was hosted in part by the Phi Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc, DeKalb County Juvenile Justice Council, Ms. Mandy Mahoney, and the Grants and Programs division of Juvenile Court. Over 500 backpacks, prefilled with school supplies, were distributed to families in need from the DeKalb County community.
DeKalb County Juvenile Court’s goal is to provide resources, support, and mentor ship to under served youth and families in DeKalb County. The hope is to create a safer community by strengthening families, reducing crime, developing productive citizens, and building stronger community partnerships.
